Thermal Imaging uses a specialist camera to map skin surface temperature and creates images mapping pain and dysfunction. Routinely used to identify sports injuries and monitor rehabilitation it can also be used preventatively. Small changes in skin temperature can create an alert for potential imminent injuries. It's not limited to athletes and anyone suffering with musculo-skeletal pain can benefit. Working with other health care professionals, thermal imaging can offer diagnostic support and monitor how effective any treatment or rehabilitation programmes are.
