Hi, I’m Mel Langton and I’m a Lincoln based designer and illustrator who loves to create vibrant original artwork, empowering bespoke portraits, colourful custom illustrations and unique surface pattern designs, using both traditional and digital hand-drawn techniques.
I’m also a fierce advocate of human-made art, filled with a whole lotta heart!
My passion is for creating uplifting and engaging artwork that tells a story, whether it’s crafting engaging artwork to showcase your business, inclusive designs to connect a community, or personalised commissions that celebrate your family and loved ones.
Over the years I’ve created artwork for several art trails and community art projects across the city, including the Barons, Knights and Imps trails, the St Barnabas HeArts Trails (for which I was the Artist Ambassador) and my self-initiated ‘Piecing Us Together’ giant jigsaw puzzle trail, for Lincoln Creates.
I’ve also created designs for several community art projects, including a series of 12 designs for the North Notts and Lincs Community Rail Partnership and EMR (which are on permanent display at Lincoln Railway Station), and more recently designs for Hykeham Train Station and Rooted Arts.
I believe in creating artwork that inspires, uplifts, empowers and informs - telling stories, bringing joy and connecting different people and communities.
When I’m not working on commissions, you’ll find me creating original pieces, prints, greeting cards and stationery, which you can find at my website store or at my new home, Indigo Crow Gallery, Burton Road, Lincoln.
